Having worked as Chartered Patent Attorneys in both private practice and industry, Peter Stebbing and Graham Ablett set up their own firms in 1982 and 1988 respectively. In 1993, they decided to become partners and founded the firm of Ablett & Stebbing.

Since the founding of the firm, we have progressively expanded from the initial two partners, to the present day multi-disciplinary firm of intellectual property specialists covering all legal and technical disciplines within the field - from biotechnology to information technology, from chemistry to mechanical engineering. We have grown to represent a diverse range of clients from all parts of the world, including small enterprises, Universities, and multinational corporations in Europe, Japan and the United States of America.

Graham Ablett continues to be a partner of the firm. Peter Stebbing has now retired.
